Dr.Sketchy's London


How is Dr. Sketchy's different from a normal life drawing session ? Dr.Sketchy's is more fun !!! We offer interesting models in exciting costumes, hilarious drawing competitions, alcohol, prizes, music and all sorts of fun to be had. We welcome people from all walks of life, as long as you're prepared to have a good time - it's the only event of its kind in London , so come along and experience it first hand. We carry out a series of drawing poses; inbetween these we'll have competitons and prize-givings. Maybe you'll win the grand prize ???
I can't draw at all !!! Does this matter ? Nope. Dr.Sketchy's is for everyone, whether you're Da Vinci or you've never drawn in your life. Dr.Sketchy's is all about bringing the creativity out in you and having a good time. Bring a sketchpad, a pencil and some enthusiasm - that's all you need !
What mediums can I use? All dry mediums are okay, as are dip pens, pastels, crayons and neat watercolour sets. Oil paints, messy and stinky mediums are not okay. We don't want to have to stay behind and clean up ...
Are there easles? Tables? Sketchpads? There are chairs and a few tables. All seating is available first come, first served, so if you're late and we're booked full you might end up sitting on the floor at the front or standing up at the back. If you want a guaranteed seat , I advise you to book in advance online, as the space is limited. There aren't any easles, so bring your own sketchpad/paper to draw on. You may also want to bring a drawing board to lean on. There will be a few sketchpads and materials for drop-ins to use; but only so many to go around, so don't rely on it. You are welcome to bring your own portable easel if you have one !
Do I need a paypal account to book my place ? No - Paypal accepts all credit/debit cards. You don't have to be a registered Paypal user to pay on this website. BOOK YOUR PLACE HERE !
Dr. Sketchy's sounds great ! Can I model ? Dr. Sketchy's is always looking for ravishing and/or fascinating people with good costumes. If you're a performer with a mailing list, even better. Send a picture and a brief bio to drsketchy@sugarlesque.com . Contortionists, tattooed hunks, Siamese twins and burlesque dancers are encouraged to apply ! Dr.Sketchy's London pays £50, plus tips.
